Louis Joseph “Buddy” Naaman, Jr., 76 passed away Wednesday morning December 13, 2017 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Funeral Services are 11 A.M. Friday December 15, 2017 at Greenwood Funeral Home with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Buddy was a native and lifelong resident of Greenwood. A graduate of Greenwood High School, he had been a longtime businessman in Greenwood. He owned and operated Naaman’s Motel, Youngland Children’s Store and Naaman Insurance Agency. He had been a longtime faithful Communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter; Andrea N. Daves of Hernando, MS, two sons; David Naaman of Yazoo City, MS and Paul Naaman (Robyn) of Ft. Worth, TX, a brother; Michael Naaman (Beth) of Greenville, MS, two sisters; Margaret Jones (Joe) of Orange Beach, AL and Ann Lyons (Pat) of Sea Crest, FL and four grandchildren; Bryce Daves (Jessica) of Memphis, TN, Brittney Whittington (Pierce) of Oxford, MS, Lawson Daves of Boston, MA and Zackery Wood of Ft. Worth, TX.
Pallbearers will be Dale Persons, Nick Joseph, Robert McBryde, Michael Naaman, Mark Singleton and Anthony Ola.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr Henry Flautt and staff, the staff of Golden Age and Grace Hospice.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Greenwood Funeral Home.
