Obituary for Jo Ann Lemley

Jo Ann Lemley, 74, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services are 11 A.M. Wednesday, March21, 2018 at Greenwood Funeral Home with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Seefeld and Bro. Michael Mooneyham will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jo Ann was born in Leflore County to S. T. and Birtie Marter and had been a lifelong resident of the Greenwood area. She and her late husband, Marvin, owned and operated Satellite Resource Center for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of the Greenwood Church of God and was also a member of the LeBonte Woman’s Club. She loved to travel with friends, especially the blue grass band members, which her husband was a part of. She also loved her grandchildren and watching her granddaughter Kaylee play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Jo Ann is survived by her son, Dell Lemley (Ashley), her grandchildren; Payden Seefeld and Kaylee Lemley, great grandchild; Ali Glenn Seefeld all of Greenwood, MS, cousins; Billie Ann Sayle of Greenwood and Katherine Haddon of Clinton, Sisters- in-law; Judy Corder (Richard) of Carrollton, MS, Elaine Lemley of Greenwood, MS and Dunya Palazzolo (John) of Grenada and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Corder, Richie Corder, Scott Lemley, T. J. Lemley, Lewis Jones, Jr., and Brad Garrard. Honorary pallbearers will be Walt Seefeld, Mike Blaylock, Jeffrey Mooneyham, Andy Tingle and the Old Black Hawk School Blue Grass Musicians.
Memorials may be made to the Greenwood Church of God Building fund; 706 Brentwood Ave, Greenwood, MS 38930.

I am sorry to hear the news, but know JoAnn is no longer in pain. My condolences to the family. I knew JoAnn and Marvin for years and all the family. Time passes so fast, but friends we never forget even when we move away.
