Greenwood Funeral Home began as a vision to serve and support our hometown and the surrounding areas. Owners Jenny and Kenneth Thompson have both lived in Greenwood all of their lives. They saw this as an opportunity to work together and grow their love for the people of this area. Jenny the daughter of Jack and Evelyn Mitchell grew up on Eagle Street and attended Greenwood High School. Kenneth the son of Kenneth and Mae Thompson grew up on Pine Street and also attended Greenwood High school, MDCC and Mississippi State University. Both Kenny and Jenny knew they wanted their lifelong home to be in Greenwood and raise their children here.
Kenneth and Jenny own KTBuilder, a commercial construction company that is entering its 35th year in business. KTBuilder has worked all over the State of Mississippi and is known in the construction industry for its quality, dedication to the owner and a finished product everyone can be proud of. As the torch for KTBuilder passes to the next generation, daughters Kim McNeer and Ashley Swider, son in law, Jim McNeer and Grandson Hunter McNeer, KT and Jenny’s funeral home vision began to become a reality.
